The Assignment: Working off a linear screenplay, edit a full-length theatrical promo that captures the magic of virtual production, before cutting it down into four individual scenes for socials.
FROM THE EDITING ROOM
Virtual Love Story was a great opportunity to get my workflow down.
Despite being a two-minute trailer, the client cut no corners with the production. An established TV Director was brought in, professional composers and colourists were contracted, and I got to be the Editor in the midst of it, interfacing and executing.
The cutting of the trailer itself was straightforward, but the opportunity to integrate into a professional workflow was instructive. The work didn't stop at Picture Lock, and it was important gaining that perspective early.
