Deliverables: x14 Promotional Videos

Brief: In a series of 15-30 second videos, capture the essence of the "New Silk Road" collection; nostalgic Indo-futurism and the the collision of past and future, presented with a level of westernized polish.

FROM THE EDITING ROOM

Having consumed my fair share of designer brand advertising, I knew working on a high-fashion campaign was an exercise in style.

This content was designed to sell clothes, there's no getting around that; create a luxurious vibe, and edit visuals to that effect. What was interesting about aselectfew was that its brand identity was still in its infancy, and the brief offered encouragement for new ideas. 

In execution, I went with ads that balanced clarity with impressionism. The clothes were cool, so they take up the screen, but creativity would be channeled into their presentation.  The goal was to give these videos a kinetic, BPM-paced style, like a music video, without losing coherency. You bounce around, but you never lose focus on those slick new threads. 

Fashion's a passion; getting these passed was a lot of fun.
